Thirteen cases of small-pox have been reported among ■ the Preussen's passengers, three being very set ions. Neither mails nor cargo have been landed. The vessel is completely isolated. The Union Company's steamship Hauroto sailed this afternoon for Auckland. Melbourne, December 30. The New Zealand Loan Agency Company, in its weekly circular, states that the yield of wheat in Victoria is very satisfactory. There is almost certain to be a surplus of 150,000 quarters, which will be available for export. (Rceeived December 31, 12.30 p.m.) December 31. It is announced that the Victorian Government differs from the viewexpressed by the British PostmasterGeneral's reply to the deputation of the London Chamber of Commerce, and is in favour of the postponement of the question of the Australasian Mail Service until the meeting of the Colonial Conference; and Mr Derham, the Postmaster-General of this colony, proposes that the colonies nhoald invite tenders for a Federal Mail without delay. The quarantined passengers from the Preussen are all in good health. Adelaide, December 31. The health of the small-pox patients at the quarantine station is improving.
