Beach has accepted Hanlan’s challenge to row on the Nepean River, and has made his first deposit of £250 with the sporting editor of the “Australasian” (Received December 10, 1.30 a.m.) Sydney, December 9. The cricket match between ShawLillywhite’s team and twenty-two of Hartley was concluded to-day, and resulted in the Englishmen winning by 77 runs.
