KUMARA HOSPITAL.

The ordinary meeting of the Hospital ".as held in the Town Hall last even! g; present—The Vice-Chairman (Mr G. Voysey), MessrH Morris, Wooldridge, Maloney, and Dnngan. The minutes of the previous meeting ! were read and confirmed. The inward correspondence was read and received, aud considered. The Wardsman's Report for the month of September was read and received. It showed that the total number of in-patients treated was ten, of which four were discharged, and six remained in the Hospital at the end of the month. John Monnhan, of a fractured leg, Annie Hogan and Ann Brady, of bronchitis, and Charles Carlsen, of a contused wound, were discharged cured. James Wilson, of malnutrition, Joseph Pfaff, of iheutnatisim, Owen M'Nally, of cancer, Patrick Clune and Aiex. Cross of bronchitis, and Wm. Fahienkrug, of hemiplegia, were stil! in the Hospital. The report also stated that only two of the ten were ticket-holders, virtually entMing them to admission to the institution ; these were Patrick Clune and Wra. Fabrenkrug. The number of out-patients treated during the same month was 23, and the unmber of consultations for out-door relief was 79. The Secretary read the Statement of Receipts a:id Expenditure for the quarter ended. 30th September, 1886. The receipts amounted to £290 10i Gel, ytkuli, added to a balance of £6lB 15s

Id in hand, give a total credit of £989 5s 7d. The expenditure came to £331 12s, so that there remained a balance in bank of £655 7s 7d; the subsidy due from Government amounted to £260 ss, which gave net t assets £915 12s 7d. The liabilities were—contracts in hand, £348 19s lid; September accounts £G2 2s; which would leave the balance of assets at £494 Mr Dungan reported having ordered some grass seed from Greymouth. Mr Burger was appointed on the House Committee, vice Mr Maloney, who retired by rotation. Receipts were handed in as follow : By Mr Voyney, £1 10s; the Wardsman, £1 10s; Mr Mortis, £2; Mr Maloney, £2 10s.
