The cricket match between the Australians and Eleven of the South of England was concluded to-day, at Hastings, resulting in a draw after three days play. The following were the scores on each side ;—Home team, first innings, 200 ; Australians, first innings, 194. Home team, second innings, 230 j Australians, second innings, 202, with six wickets down. (Received September 20, 2,50 p.m.) Beach won the match with Gaudaur easily. (Received September 20, 10.30 p.m.) Later, The race between Beach and Gandanr on the Thames to day was won by the former by three lengths. Beach led from the start, but at the Soap Works had a lead of two lengths. The!e, however, he stopped lowing. Gavi.inr caught him, and at. Barnes’ B/ -ch t’.v.s leading by a long;!), but the Ansiraliau, putting on a spurt, shot ahead, and won by three lengths.
