In the House of Commons to-day, the Bill to amend the present land legislation in Ireland was introduced by Mr Parnell, and read a first time. The measure provides that the Land Courts should be empowered to reduce rents dining a period of two years, and that eviction should be stayed when the tenant has deposited with the Court half the amount owing to the landlord.
