[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. *♦— BELL V. CLARKE. DISCOVERY OF GOLD NEAR STEWART'S DEPOT CREEK. (Received July 15, 1.15 a.m.) Melbourne, July 14. Arrived, this morning, the steamship Te Anau, from the Bloff. Sailed, the steamship Tarawera, for the Bluff. The compromise case, Bell v. Clarke, was effected by Clarke paying a bill for £21,000. [Per Waihora, at the Bluff.] Sydney, July 6. A discovery of gold is reported to have been made at Norrata Hills, five miles from Stewart's Depot Creek. A miner named Howie first discovered the gold by unearthing a nugget of 6ozs. Sevetal smaller nuggets have also been found, and a small rush has set in. The miners are now making £3 to £4 weekly per man. A. party is now searching for a quartz reef.
