The Legislative Assembly continued iu Committee on the Customs Bill until an early hour this morning. Later. Last night a compromise was declined, and after entering a protest against the House sitting on Sunday, the Opposition left the Chamber in a body at midnight. The Government then proceeded with the bill, and after passing several clauses, postponed the discussion of the schedule; and the Assembly adjourned until Tuesday. At the conclusion of the proceedings, strangers in the gallery groaned. Adelaide, July 10. Arrived, this morning, the Orient Company’s steamship John Elder, from London, and the Messageries steamship Yarra, from Marseilles.
