In the Legislative Assembly to-day the taxation proposals of the Government were affirmed in Committee of Ways and Means, and the Bills necessary to give effect to them will be introduced and dealt with in the Assembly without delay. Arrived, the steamship Hanroto, from Wellington, on Friday afternoon last. Melbourne, June 13. Arrived this morning, the steamship Sorata, from London.
