[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright SAILORS ON THE AUCKLAND HARBOUR DREDGE. PRODUCE MARKET. (Received June 2, 11.45 a.m.) Brisbane, June 2. The sailors on board the Auckland Harbor Board's dredge, to the number of 121, which lias arrived here from Glftsow, have refused to proceed to sea in hov. The dredge ran ashore while coming through the Red Sea, and the men allege that, in consequence, .she is unseaworty in her present condition. Capt. Fison, the shipping inspector, has boarded the vessel, accompanied by a competent marine .surveyor, in order to report whether the action of the sailors is well grounded. (Received June 2,2 a m.) The local manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports upon the Melbourne matket a? follows:—Wheat has a strong tone and is worth 5s Id to 5s 2d per bushel ' milling barley remains steady at 3s 9d to 4s 3d ; New Zealand oats, feed sorts, are in good demand, at 2s to 3s 2d, while milling descriptions have slightly improved in value at 2s 2d to 3s & 3d • New Zealand oats, under bond are 2s 3d to 2s Gd. Mr Wrix-m, Attorney-Gen-eral, has been appointed to represent this colony in the Federal Council in ilie places of Messrs Service and Beny who are both in England. The Melbourne City Council has had under consideration an application for the use of the Town Hall for a Nationalist meeting i n support of Mr Glads! one's Irish proposals. institute a seeching inquiry iuto tbe loss of the ste unship Ly-ee-Moon. At a public meeting held last night, resolutions were adopted approving of the tariff proposals of the Government.
