[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. ■ ♦ CRICKET. AUSTRALIANS V. NOTTINGHAM. (Received May 19, 7.40 p.m.) London, May 18. The cricket match, Australians v. Notts commencefl at Nottingham today. The weather was showery, and there whs only a moderate attendance in consequence. The wicket was also very heavy owing to the continued rains of the last few days. The following are the names of the team selected to represent the county :—W. Attwell, P. Barnes, W. Flowers, P. Gunn, P. Scotton, J. Selby, P. Shaddock, A. Shaw, M. Sherwin, A. Shrewsbury, and VV. Wright. The Australians went first to the ■wickets, and when the stumps were drawn thej' had scored 50 for the loss of one wicket, Bonner being not out with 28, Scott not out for 13. (Received May 20,1 a.m.) Later. Owing to the inclemency of the weather, the cricket match, Australians v. Nottingham, was stopped to-day, when the score of the visitors reached 50. The Australian Eleven were entertained at a banquet last night by the Nottingham team.
