In the House of Commons last night, a motiou was adopted agreeing to set apart four dayp per week for the discussion of the Government proposals for securing autonomy for Ireland. Gladstone, speaking to the motion, expressed his belief that the debate would occupy most of next week. Mr Labouchere suggested that the House should assent to the second reading of the bill, in order to affirm the principle of autonomy, on condition that the Government then promised to withdraw the bill in its present form. The Marquis of Hartington, in addressing a public meetiug last night at Bradford, in Yorkshire, denied that he had in any way relapsed his hostility to the Home Rule Bill.

The blockade of the Greek porta, of which notice was given to the Greek Premier by the Charges d'Affairs of five of the Great Powers on the Bth instant, has now been enforced. A protest lias beeu made by Greece against the blockade, on the ground that it entails injury to commerce.

Lord Salisbury, at a meeting of the Tory party last night, advocated the emigration of a million Irish to Manitoba. He expressed his conviction that a dissolution was imminent.

The Liberal dissentants decline to vote for Home Rule, even as an abstract principle. The minimum majority against the measure is expected to be 41, and possibly it may amount to 100.

Mr Chamberlain and the Marquis of Hartington have been reconciled. May 17. Three hundred and fifty thousand Russian troops are being massed in the Crimea and Bessarabia.
