It is announced that the vacancy caused t.y the retirement of Mr Justice Molesworth has been Hlled by the appointment of Mr Webb to the Judicial Bench. The ci.-e of Bell v. CI Mike will h. m; to be reargued, owing to the letireiiu'iit of Judge Molesworth, befote whom it was heard. The steamship Manapouri arrived this morning, from the Bluff. (Received May 6, 1.10 p.m.) Sydney, May 6. The negotiations which have been in progress for the purpose of bringing about si re-approach men t between Sir Henry Parkes and Sir John Robertson and their respective followers have completely failed. Steps are being taken to secure a suitable celebration of the centenary of the colony, which will occur in January 1888.
