The trial of t\w defaulting officials of the Commercial Bank of South Australia concluded to-day, when Crooks, the manager, was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment, Wilson, the accountant, receiving six years'. (Received April 8, 1.30 p.m.) Sydney, April 8. Sir Henry has Parkes reintroduced his motion on the New Hebrides question, which he withdrew to allow the Colonial Treasurer to make his Financial Statement. The resolution will be discussed to-night. Brisbane, April 8. The trial of Captain Wonenson, master of the schooner Dourle, for malpractice connected with island labour trade, was concluded to-day. The accused was sentenced to ten years' penal servitude.
