WARDEN’S COURT.
Friday, March 19. [Before D. Macfarlane, Esq., Warden.] SUITS. Edward Brennan, by bis agent Mr Hannan, applied that Jacob Jorgensen and party he adjudged to have forfeited extended claim No. 43834, six acres, at Larrikins, said claim not having been used for the purpose for which it was granted, but now deserted and abandoned for more than one month, and not protected under the Minin® Regulations : also that complainant be declared first applicant for extended claim of one acre, or be put in possession of so much thereof as he is by law entitled to hold.—Judgment for complainant; certificate forfeited and cancelled, and complainant declared first applicant for an extended claim of one acre of land of such extended claim so forfeited.
R. J. Secldou, by his agent Mr Hannan, applied that residence area No. 29460 be declared forfeited, certificate cancelled, and plaintiff made first applicant for said residence area, defendant having failed to erect and maintain a substantial fence around as oy law required, and not having used bona fide the whole land held under said certificate for the purpose for which the same was granted and taken possession of, and defendant having entirely unused and abandoned the greater portion of the land held by him under said residence certificate—The summons was enlarged to the 2nd April ; service to be made on premises, and notice published in Kumara Times. applications. An application by C. J. Mycklander and party for an extended claim at head of Larrikins Terrace was withdrawn. Patiick O’Rourke applied by his agent Mr Hannan, for a residence area fronting Blake’s Tramway—Granted. Thomas O’Neill and party, by their agent Mr Hannan, applied for an extended claim of five acres at Dunedin Flat—Granted, as per plan attached. Robert Wagshall and party applied for an extended claim of three acres at Upper Larrikins Terrace—Application dismissed, as being informal.
