KUMARA HOSPITAL.
The ordinary meeting of the Hospital Committee on the 2nd insfc. was attended by Messrs Rudkin, Voysey, Watson, Hope, G. Anderson, Ziegler, and Wooldridge. The miuutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, The Secretary read the Wardsnian's Ketuni of In-patients treated at the Hospital during the month of January. It showed that the total number treated was six, of which two were discharged, leaving four in the Hospital on the last day of the month. These were John Matson, miner, of hemorrhoids tfec.; Samuel Hughston, bushman hemiplegia; Richard Pitlway, miner, injury to eye; Carl Kagelmacher, agriculturist, compound fracture of le«. John Stnart, miner, of abscess, was discharged cured ; and Jessie Hall, a school-girl, from sub-acute rheumatism, was discharged at request of parents. The Secretaiy was instructed to write to Messrs M'Fetrick and Caldwell re balance of subscriptions collected for teliff of S.unuel Hughston, a patient.
The House Committee reported having visited the Hospital, and found it in a satisfactory condition. Mr Burger was elected on (he House Committee, vice Mr Anderson, who retires by rotation.
The Secretary was empowered to make arrangements with the Bank, and pay urgent accounts.
The thanks of the C-muniitpe were tendered to Mr W. Kroener for a presentation of books to the Hospital. Accounts to the amount of .£4O 9s were passed for payment. The sum of £1 was received from the Wardsman.
