KUMARA HOSPITAL.
The ordioary meeting of the Hospital Committee was held in the Town Hall last evening; y>resent—Messrs Rudkin (in the chair), Voysey, Ziegler, Hope, Wildridge and Wooldridge. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
The Secretary reported having forwarded to the Colonial Seoretavy, for presentation to the Governor, the petition for incorporating the Kumara Hospital as a separate institution, together with a list of 153 subscribers, with subscriptions amounting to ,£lls 2s 9d ; also that he had forwarded a copy of the petition to the Charitable Aid Board.
On the motion of Mr Rudkin, seconded by Mr Ziegler, the Secretary was instructed to make application to the Charitable Aid Board for the amount of the estimated deficiency for the months of December and January. Leave of absence for two months was grauted to committee-man Mr John Hannah.
The following receipts were handed in:—By Mr Ziegler, £8 10s; Mr Morris, £2 10s; Mr Wooldridge, £1 10s; Wardsman Ross, £l.
This concluded the business of the meeting.
