WESTLAND BOARD OF EDUCATION.

♦ The following are the results of the exnmintions of Westland Schools for the year 1885. The Kumara State School, it will be seen, heads the list in the per-centage of marks obtained by the scholars. This is highly creditable and satisfactory to the head teacher, Mr Wooodward, and his staff.

The tallowing schools have not yet been examined:—Waitangi, Gillespie's, Okarito, Bruce Bay, Okura, Orawata, Lake Brunner.
