Tho following extract from the “Education Act, 1877, Amendment Act, 1885,” is published for the information of School Committees, Parents, Guardians, &c. JOHN SMITH, Secretary Westland Education Board. 6._ Every child required by the said Act to attend a public school sha‘l attend such school during AT LEAST THIRTY DAYS in each quarterly school term. 7. On the hearing of any information or complaint under the said Act for an order to send children or a child to a public school, or for the recovery of a penalty in respect thereof, the onus shall be on (he parent or guaidian of such children or child of shewing that such children or child have or has attended, or are or is attending, a public school, in accordance with the requirements of the said Act, or that such children or child are or is exempt from such attendance thereunder.
