KUMARA HOSPITAL,
The ordinary meeting of the Hospital Committee was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening; present— Mr H. Burger (in the chair), Messrs Rudkin, Voysey, Watson, Wildridge, Hope, Wooldridge, Morris, and Ziegler, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was read'and approved of, and the inward read and received. The following letter was read : “ To R. E. Wylde, Esq., Secretary to Kumara Hospital. “ Sir—Referring to previous correspondence relative to the admission of patients to the Rotorua Hospital, I am now directed by the Minister of Lands to inform you that the charge has been reduced to twenty shillings per week for board and residence at the Hospital,, such reduced charge to be retrospective. “ I have, &c., “ H. J. H. Eliott, “ Under-Secretary. “ General Crown Lands Office, “ Wellington, November 27, 1885. ,f The letter was referred to the Benevolent Society. The Treasurer reported having received from Mr W. J. M‘liroy the sum of £3 17s 6d, being an amount charged by him in error to the Hospital Committee, instead of to the Defence Committee, who had called his attention to the error, and had paid him the amount. It was resolved that the Secretary call for supplies to the Hospital in the usual way. The Secretary stated that about £6O bad been collected towards the £IOO necessary for petitioning for se separate institution under the new Act. This concluded the “business.
