MANY OFFICERS AND MEN KILLED AND WOUNDED. (Received December 4, 9.40 p.m.) Calcutta, December 3 King Thebaw, together with the Queen and some other members of his household, have arrived at Khoyetungo, in the Pegu district, British Burmah, where they are detained as prisoners. (Received December 5, 1 a in.) December 4. Intelligence from Mandalay announces that a large number of Dacoits made a raid upon that place yesterday. The British troops were taken at a disadvantage, and in the fighting which ensued, many British officers and men were killed and wounded.
