Company's steamship Ballarat arrived this morning, with London mails to September 28. Melbourne, October 20. Sailed, this morning, the Wairarapa, for the Bluff. The Executive Council held a meeting to-day, when the temporary contract for the San Francisco mail service was confirmed, subject to the approval of Parliament.
