Further details to hand with regard to the recent encounter between the Abyssinian forces under Ras Aloula and the Hadendowa Arabs show that tha Abyssiniana gained a complete victory, carrying by assault a stronglyentrenched position and killing fully three thousand Arabs, amongst whom was Osraan Digna, whose body was identified after the engagement. The Abyssinians lost a large number of men.
