(Received October 6, 9.50 p.m.) Melbourne, September 6. The Union Company's steamship Tarawera sailed for the Bluff this after- □ oou. The inquiry into the cause of the wreck of the steamship Gulf of Carpenpentaiia, of Cleft Island, was concluded to-day. The Court fully exonerated the captain. (Received October 7, 12.30 p.m.) Sydney, October 7. Dibbs has succeeded in forming a Ministry, but its actual composition is not yet disclosed. It is believed, however, that among its members are Sir Patrick A. Jennings, Messrs Truckett, Abbott, Want [?], Lyne, Wright, See, and Farnell. The forma] dissolution takes place to day. The new writs will be issued tomorrow.
