Stuart has forwarded his resignation to the Governor to-day, and that Mr Dibbs, the present Colonial Treasurer will be sent for to reconstruct the Ministry. Hauroto, at Wellington.] Sydney, September 23. The discussions in the Assembly have drifted into various channels, and there seems little prospect of any teal business during this session. Mr Butter, member for Bathurst, made a distinct charge of cowardice against Captain Mulholland during the Soudan campaign, saying that he ought to be flogged rather than receive it medal. He was asked to formulate his charges, and give (he name of his informant. This he declined to do, and Mulholland is allowed to remain under the imputation, although he demands an inquiry.
The discussions have become personal in character, and charges of corruption are freely made. Neill Matherson has challenged Beach to row for the championship and £2OO a-side.
