[united press association.] Wellington, September 2. John Munday, 18 years of age, a cowboy in the employ of William Jones, three miles from Masterton, was found by Mrs Jones at seven o’clock this morning hanging by a rope to the top of a cow bail, quite dead. Deceased was the son of the postmaster at Akaroa. He was last seen alive at seven o’clock last night. No cause is assigned for the suicide. The Wellington Hospital Commission will hold its first sitting to-morrow. A man named James Walden was arrested on a charge of being implicated in a tarring case at the Hutt. An old man, aged 80 years, named Taylor, who was one of the founders of the eight hours’ system in the colonies, is dead.
