[united press association.] Wellington, August 21. A well known native named Ngapaki Tepuni fell down dead on Petone beach this morning. Auckland, August 21. Antoni Gaschnell, the lunatic who killed an Armed Constabulary man at Taranaki, and also Mills, a patient in the Auckland asylum a couple of years ago, has hanged .himself in Auckland. He broke the wire with which the sashes of the window are hung, and tied it round his neck, drawing it until he strangled himself dead. A child 11 months old, Martha Matustika, daughter of German parents at Flat Bush, was choked with a plum stone. Dunedin, August 21. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest on a man named Crisp, killed by a dynamite explosion. A man named John Malenoir was found at Deep Stream. He had been left to have a rest by a man who was traveling with him. There are no marks of violence.
