The death is announced, at the age og 85, of Sir Charles Wood (Viscount Halifax). The Orient Steam Navigation Company's .steamship Cnzco arrived at Plymouth to-day. Marseilles, August 10. The cholera epidemic is abating in the neighbourhood, and it is hoped it will be shortly ended. Madrid, August 10. jjhe. number of ca.ses of cholera in the alfeoted districts is reported to be on the increase.
