(Received August 6, 2.15 p.m.) London, August 5. The Colonial Federation Enabling Bill has been passed through Committee. (Received August 7, 0.45 a,m.) Evening. The Colonial Federation Enabling Bill was finally passed by the House of Commons last night. Sir Michael Hicks-Beach last night made a statement as to the intentions of Government as regards Egyptian affairs. He informed the House that England would act in concert with the Great Powers, especially in all matters touching Egypt, and that the British would remain in that country until the projected reforms were completed. (Received August 7, 12.45 p.m.) August 6. The advices from the south of Europe show that the cholera epidemic exhibits no signs of diminishing. In Spain the daily average cases are now fully 4000, of which 1500 have had a fatal termination, The epidemic is also increasing rapidly in Marseilles and its vicinity.
