The Russian Press generally regard the Russian movements on the border of Afghanistan as due to the feais of an Afghan attack on the post of General Komaroff, who, it is stated, is completing preparations for assuming the defensive without occupying the defiles commanding the Zulfikar Pass. London, July 20. The Standard this morning expresses the belief that Russia is to receive Merutchak in return for giving up her claims to Zulfikar Pass.
