Chbistchurch, May 20. An intercolonial archery match has recently been held between the Adelaide and Canterbury Archery Clubs. The returns are just to hand and show a victory for the Adelaide players, who scored 1325 points against. 837 by the Canterbury archers. Miss A. Wright was the highest scorer of the Adelaide nine competitors, and Mrs Witsmall second to the highest for Canterbury. Timaru, May 21. James Scott, late head master Timaru public school (formerly of Hokitika), was this afternoon presented with a purse of 100 sovs., and a clock, the former by the people, the latter by the Timaru Debating Society.
