[From the Auckland Herald.] Woodyear's circus is doing good business in the Waikato. Nelson fiuds a remunerative market for barley in Auckland. The Hawea recently brought up 9000 bushels. The number of new volunteer corps which have offered their services to the Government has increased to ninety. The Rev. Mr Wohlers, for 25 years missionary to the Maoris on the island of Ruapeke, died on the 7th iustaut, aged 73. He was the first minister to arrive at the South Island. "If," says Captain Steele, of Hamilton, "we cannot manage our tin-pot little railways without importing men from England, Heaven help us." The Wanganui Herald says Mr Balance will nob be able to address bis constituents "until immediately after Parliament has prorogued." Consoling: Colonel Trimble in his address to his constituents, referring to the existiug depression, said, "The°distress is nothing to-day to what it will be five years hence."
