FEDERATION ENABLING BILL. SHORT SUPPLY OF WATER IN SYDNEY. TYPHOID FEVER PREVALENT. SHIP ARRIVALS. (Received May 11, 1.15 p.m.) Melbourne, May 11. The Hon. James Service, Premier of Victoria, announces that he has saken steps to ensure a full discussion of clause 31 in the Federation Enabling Bill, when the measure comes before the House of Commons. Arrived, yesterday, the steamship Clyde, with London mails to April 3. Sydney, May 11. The steamship Triumph has been placed in the New Zealand trade, aud will leave this port for Auckland on the 15 th inst. (Received May 11, 10.40 p.m.) Arrived, the Union Company's steamship Wairarapa, from Auckland, this afternoon. Owing to the short supply of water in the Botany reservoirs, from which the city is supplied, the householders have been placed on limited allowance. Typhoid fever has become very prevalent in consequence, and no less than 76 cases are uuder treatment at the Hospital.
