NEW SOUTH WALES REVENUE RETURN. THE NIGHTINGALE’S MISSING BOAT. OPINION IN LONDON REGARDING PROSPECTS OF WAR. (Received May 5, 10.30 p.m.) Sydney, May 5. The New South Wales revenue for the four months ended April 30, just published, shows an increase of nearly £400,000 as compared with the receipts during the corresponding period of last year. No tidings are yet to hand of the Nightingale’s missing boat. The names of its occupants are ascertained to be Captain Short, mate Hastings, Campbell, Dempsey, and Hannieford. Melbourne, May 5, Government has received a telegram from the Agent-General, Mr MurraySmith, in which he states that the current opinion in London is that peace is almost fully assured.
