Sailed, the Waihora, for Auckland, this afternoon. The annual meeting of the Australian Mutual Provident Society was held here to-day. Resolutions were passed providing that in future the bonus shall become available after the policies have endured two years, and surrender values be paid after similar period has elapsed.

The Bank of New South Wales has declared a dividend at the rate of 15 per cent, per annum for the past half year, together with a bonus of per cent. Melbourne, April 30. Eight hundred and fifty members of the Victorian police have volunteered their services to Government for the Militia.
