Obituary.—The Right Rev. Robert A. Coffin, Roman Catholic Bishop of Southwark. The Commission of Inquiry which has been sitting for some time to adjudicate upon the claims of German settlers to land in the Fiji islands has concluded its labours, and the commissioners are now preparing reports. The members of the Commission are said to be in accord on the question, only a slight divergence occurring in the finding. Bombay, April 7. The rising in Manitoba is spreading, and fears are entertained that there will be more bloodshed. Mr Jefferson Davis is seriously ill, and his condition is considered very critical.
