HOSPITAL FETE.
The Hospital Easter Fete Committee held another meeting in the Town Hall on Thursday evening; present—Messrs Barger (chairman), Davies, Wood, Langridge, Wiesuer, Budkin, Hannah, Hope, Fitzsimons, Bruggemann, and Metcalfe. A letter was read from Mr A. Miller, stating that should there be any strin o, band music required at the forthcoming entertainment for the benefit of the Hospital, he was authorised to offer the services of Mrs Williams, and Messrs Barnett and Bremond, who, with himaelf, would be happy to contribute towards the success of the entertainment by playing as the Committee might direct.—The offer was accepted. In reply as to whether the Brass Band would be willing to play at the feMe, and, if so, on what terras, the Hon. Sec. (Mr James Rochford) wrote that the Band would play at the Hospital lets on Easter Monday for the
sum of ten guineas.—The offer was accepted. It was resolved that the programme for Easter Monday night consist of a concert and ball, and that Messrs A. Miller, G. Wood, and R. E. Wylde constitute a concert committee to draw up a programme and make arrangements for music and theatre. Messrs A. Miller and L. Ziegler’s names were added to the general committee, and Mr Hope’s to the sports committee, A programme was submitted by the sports committee, which was approved of and adopted. Messrs Barnett and Fitzsimons were requested to canvass Seddoti street for subscriptions to the sports fund, and Messrs Pearn and Ziegler Main street. The Secretary was instructed to write to the different Friendly Societies, the Volunteers, and Clubs, asking them to take part in the procession from Dill man’s. The meeting was then adjourned till after the Hospital meeting next Tuesday evening.
