MURDER OP BANK MANAGER AND ACCOUNTANT,
AT ROEBURNE, WEST AUSTRALIA,
VICTORIAN AND TASMANIAN TARIFF QUESTION.
(Received January 22, 1.10 p.m.) Perth (Western Australia), January 22, The manager (Mr Anretell) and accountant (Mr Burrnp) of the Union Bank at Roebnrne, have been tomahawked and killed on the bank premises. The keys of tiie safe are stolen, but no money is abstracted at present. There is no clue to the murderers.

The conference on the Tariff question between the representatives of Victoria and Tasmania was continued yesterday and further adjourned. Nothing definite is known as to the progress, of the negotiations.
Melbourne, January 22. Jas. Anthony Froude will shortly visit New Zealand privately.
