(Received December 30, 2.30 p.m.) Sydney, December 30. The New Zealand Government is communicating with the Hon. Mr Service regarding the proposed protest against German annexation in the Pacific. It is understood the New Zealand Cabinet differs with Mr Service as to the character of the protest. (Received December 30, 10 p.m.) Later. Monsieur Luck, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, arrived here by the Messageries Company's steamer Yarra, from Marseilles, Novembor 19, en route to Auckland. Sailed, this afternoon, the Te Auau, for the Bluff. Albany, December 30. The P. and O. steamship Ballarat, with the Brindisi mails, dated Loudon, October, 2S, arrived at King George's Sound this morning.
