(Received December 30, 10 p.m.) Melbourne, December 30. The intercolonial cricket match between Victoria and New South Wales was resumed and concluded here to-day. The home team in their first innings scored 482. The visitors then went in iov their second innings, but were all disposed of for 74, the home team thus winning by an innings with 5 runs to spare. Christchurch, December 27. .. The intercolonial cricket match between Otago and Canterbury resulted as follows :—Otago, first innings 131 ; Canterbury, 170; Otago, 2nd innings 6 wickets for 54. December 29. - The Otago-Canterbury match was resumed at 2.20 p.m. in pouring rain, and the second innings of Otago closed for 82 runs. Canterbury required 24 to win, which was done for the loss' of one wicket. December 30. The match Auckland v. Otago commenced here to-day. The weather was fine. Otago went in first, and had scored 140 runs. At the close of the day's play, Auckland lost nine wickets for 48 runs. Riverton, December 30. Hearn and Harrington are training assiduously, and there is considerable betting on the event, Hearn being slightly the favourite.
