In consequence of the small-pox epidemic at Sydney, the Union steamship Company of New Zealand has ordered a close inspection of all passengers and crews sailing for New Zealand from Melbourne and Sydney.

December 11. Tbe amended Railway Bill adopted by the Legislative Assembly passed all its stages in the Council last evening, and the business of the session is nowfinished.
All the convalescent small-pox patients are released from quarantine, and the disease has now disappeared from this colony.
