(Received October 21, 2.40 p.m.) Evening. The Tichborne claimant, Arthur Orton, was released from prison today. Arrived, the steamship lonic, from Wellington. Hong-Kong, October 20. Intelligence is received from Tonquin that the Chinese recently attacked the French position at Luyenguyen, but were repulsed with heavy loss.
