Mr Service has received a reply from the Premier of New Zealand to his telegrams regarding the question of annexation. In his reply, Mr Stout declares his entire concurrence in the desire to accelerate the action of the Imperial Government in the matter.
(Received September 20, 2.35 p.m.) September 20.. Griffiths, the Premier of Queensland, has cordially responded to Mr Service’s telegram urging fresh action in the matter of proposed Pacific annexation. Sydney, September 20. Sailed, the steamship Rotomahana, for Auckland, on Thursday afternoon. Cresswell has identified the lunatic at Parramatta Asylum as his brother, and not as Arthur Orton.
