The Australian cricketers commenced a match to-day against eleven of I Zingari, at Scarborough. / The following are the Jlames of the Home team : P. SJg Deporavicini, Christopherson, AV, W Forbes, Lord Harris, Hon. A, Lyttelton, W. H. Peterson, A. G. Steel, G. B. Studd, H. Whitefell, E. M. Hadon, and Comrell. The attendance of spectators at the match was large, but the weather was inclement, and the wickets heavy, owing to rain.

The Home team went in first, and put together a total of 229, the principal scorers being the Hon. A. Lyttelton, caught, 37, and W. F. Forbes, stumped, 80. The visitors then commenced their first innings, but only scored 2-1 runs, with one wicket down, when time was called.
