CRICKET. AUSTRALIANS Y. GLOUCESTERSHIRE. (Received August 19, 7 p.m.) London, August 18. The Australian cricketers commenced a match at Cheltenham to-day against eleven of Gloucestershire. The following are the names of the Home team : Messrs J. A. Bush, E. M. Grace, W. G. Grace, W. W, F. Pullen, E. J. Taylor, F. Townsend, H. Y, Page, J. H. Brain, F. H. Curtis, A. Woof, and Painter. There was a good attendance of spectators, weather splendid, ground in excellent order, and a first rate wicket was pitched. The Home team in their first innings scored 183; E. M. Grace, bowled, 56, being the highest. At the close of the day, the Australians scored 176 for two wickets; Murdoch 65, Scott, 65, both not out and playing brilliantly.
