[REUTERS TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. >—<- COLLISION OF TWO BARQUES AT SEA. SINKING OF THE FARMINGHAM. THREE SEAMEN DROWNED. DEPARTURE OF SIR W. JERYOIS FOR THE BLUFF. (Received July 21, 12.20 p.m.) Brisbane, July 21. The barqne Vanguard, 688 tons, which has arrived here from London, reports that on the 11th inst. she came into collision with the barque Farmingham, 281 tons, bound from Port Chalmers to Adelaide, while off Tasmania. The Farmingharu suffered severely, and sunk in five minutes. All on board were saved, except three seamen, who were below and could not be rescued by the Vanguard. The latter vessel was somewhat damaged, but able to reach this port in safety. (Received July 22, 0.53 a.m.) Melbourne, July 21. Arrived, this afternoon, the P. and O. steamship Peshawar, with the inward Brindisi mails, dated London June 13. (Received July 22, 1 p.m.) July 22. Sir William Jervois leaves here today by the steamship Waihora, for the Bluff.
