(Received July 11, 2.20 p.m.) London, July 10, It has transpired that at the meeting of members of the Liberal party to-day, the Hon. Mr Gladstone announced that the present session would end shortly, and Parliament reassemble in October for the purpose of again passing the Franchise Bill through the House of Commons and submitting it to the House of Lords. Arrivedj the steamship Iberia, from Melbourne, May 30th. (Received July 12, 11.45 a.m.) July 11. In the House of Commons last night it was announced that Government measures introduced by the Ministers which may lead to lengthy debate will be dropped for the present session. The Deceased Wife’s Sister Bill, recently introduced in the House of Lords, has now been withdrawn.

The committee of financial experts which was appointed by the European Conference to consider the proposals of the British Government in regard to Egyptian financial questions held frequent sittings during the past few days. The committee is expected to complete its deliberations next week. The Conference will then reassemble for the purpose of discussing the report of the experts.

Ministerial and Opposition caucuses are now actively organising for the pnrpose of agitating respectively for and against, the reform of the Franchise.

Paris, July 11, Telegrams from Marseilles report that cholera is still raging there, no less than 53 deaths having occurred yesterday from the disease. Latest news from Toulon states that the epidemic is somewhat abating, the mortality yesterday having amounted to only twelve cases, whioh is below the recent daily average.
