CAUCUS OP THE OPPOSITION. THE SLUDGE-CHANNEL QUESTION. [From our own Correspondent.] Wellington, June 19, 12.50 p.m. Political matters are still critical. The Opposition decided at a caucus this morning to intercept supply by an amendment condemningthe Government for advising a dissolution without putting on hand pressing works and passing urgent legislation. This will lead to an acrimonious debate. Messrs White and Morris met Messrs G. G. Fitz Gerald, Seddon, Petrie, Munro, Shaw, and the Hon. H. H. Lahman re sludge-channel matters this morning. They wait on the Minister of Mines at half-past two this afternoon.
