MINING DELEGATES FOR WELLINGTON.
Five candidates were nominated last night at a meeting at Dillnian'x, viz., Messrs White, Moiria, MausnVld, Dennett, and Borlase, of which two were elected to go to Wellington as delegates lo icij.cs. ut to PuWiuiiu.iit the grievances that exist on this field amongst
the miners at the present time. The following is the result of the election : White 35 Morris 22 Borlase ... 21 Mansfield 18 Dennett ... ... 5 White and Morris agreed to go. [to the editor.] Sir—Will you kindly allow me through the medium of your paper, to ask the miners to supply me with the following information, in writing, not later than tomorrow night. I know it is rather a barefaced way of advertising on the cheap; but I know you will take take the present position of the field Into consideration. (1.) The number of shareholders in the claim. (2.) The number of weeks from the first day of starting their claims. (1.) The gross amount of expenditure including present liabilities (this must include water). (4.) The amount of money paid for water alone. (5.) The amount of gold received. Yours, &c, John White. Dillman's, June 11.
