[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] By Electric Telegraph —Copyright, CRICKET. AUSTRALIANS V. COUNTY SURREY. (Received May 21, 5 p.m.) London, May 20. The cricket match Australians v. Surrey was resumed to-day at the Oval. The Englishmen, being 99 behind their opponents in their first innings, had to follow on, and in their second innings succeeded in putting together 144 runs, Diver 25, Maurice Read 28, and Bowden 22, were the highest scorers. The Australians requiring 47 runs to win, obtained the same with the loss of only two wickets, and thus won the match by eight wickets j Bannerman, bowled for 24. The weather was splendid throughout the day, and there was again a large attendance, great interest having been taken in the match.
