Auckland, May 5. Mr A. A, Stevenson, builder, of Auckland, left by the Zealandia for Sydney. A lot of creditors are lamenting.

The Rev. Mr Spurgeon and Bishop Lock leave by the Rotomahana for Sydney en rcute for Europe to.day. Air Spurgeon, in wishing his cougregation farewell last night, said that the new tabernacle would cost £12,600, for
which ways and means had been found or were expected.
Gisborne, May 5. A man named Horan had his nose taken clean off by a falling branch. It is proposed to ask Sir J. Vogel to contest the vacant seat for the East Coast.
